CUSTOMERS and SUCCESS STORIES

DHS Office of Intelligence and Analysis (OI&A) – HSpace – we were responsible for the full DHS CBP Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) for an enterprise COTS/GOTS integration and application development effort – Hspace.  It is a web-based knowledge management and collaboration portal with social networking features to support the Counter-Terrorism and CyberSecurity Mission at the DHS and beyond.  The purpose of the HSpace application is to better connect people working on and/or are interested in similar mission areas and to foster identification of experts for collaboration.  We built the compute platform called Atlas on which the HSpace application runs, based on VMware vSphere/ESXi, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Cisco switching, routing, and security/firewalls, Juniper Netscreen Firewalls and VPN appliances, and F5 Networks BIG-IP Local Traffic Managers (LTMs).

DHS CBP Targeting and Analysis Program Office (TASPO) – Automated Targeting System for Passengers (ATS-P) – We are performing Java/J2EE application design, software development, testing, deployment, and O&M of a next generation GOTS application, ATS-P, developed to identify potentially dangerous people as they enter the U.S.  A Sienna software engineer served as the ATS-P software architect and led the development effort. This is truly a “big data” analytics application, which ultimately feeds into the U.S. Terrorist Screening Center and the No Fly List.

DHS CBP TASPO – Analytical Framework for Intelligent (AFI) – We are performing Java/J2EE Application Development and Hadoop-based Distributed Computing and Data Analytics for a secure, federated search application meant to streamline the work of submitting identical queries to disparate intelligence data sources by DHS/CBP analysts.

DHS CBP Engineering (EDME) – CBP Cloud Computing Environment (C3E) – a private cloud computing platform – an Oracle Exadata and Exalogic Elastic Cloud implementation with VMware and Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.x, which will serve as the primary next generation enterprise application hosting platform with full virtualization (compute, network, and storage), systems automation, continuous compliance monitoring and enforcement, and integrated configuration management.  The platform is being deployed with latest VMware vCloud Automation Center (vCAC) 5.2 to automate provisioning and configuring new VMs to an established OS baseline.  Further, VMware vApp is being utilized to configure and manage multi-tiered application stacks based on an approved configuration model that’s been fully vetted and approved for deployment.

We are also supporting the HSPD-12/OMB M-11-11 mandate to design and integrate PIV authentication and authorization into the enterprise.

DoD U.S Army Rock Island Arsenal (RIA) – Network Enterprise Center (NEC) O&M –  We are supporting production UNIX, Linux, and Windows systems for RIA-NEC and Tenant Commands on behalf of the RIA-NEC.  The services include the full Systems Engineering Life Cycle to include Change Management, Configuration Management, IA/Security/C&A, Systems Management/Enhancements, and Operational Support/Break-Fix.

DHS Office of Intelligence & Analysis (OI&A) – ABAC and BAE – an XACML-compliant, full Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) engine/application meant to serve as the centralized access control enforcement mechanism for the DHS/CBP National Security Systems (NSS) production applications and services.  Additionally, we are performing the full Systems Engineering Life Cycle for the Back-end Attribute Exchange (BAE), which will serve at the distributed Attribute Service Federation on the Secret domain for the purpose of real-time, dynamic ABAC across the Department.

NOAA Office of Systems Development – HSPD12 – an effort to collect requirements and develop architecture to implement an ICAM/PKI/HSPD-12 solution for the NOAA NESDIS IT mission systems.
